Becca first became passionate about public outreach while working with Jenny as a volunteer docent at the Chicago Field Museum. It was during an archaeological conference concerning public outreach that the concept for Museums in Hand took shape. With degrees in Maritime Archaeology and Art, museums have been central to her life academically and recreationally. She believes they can bring educational concepts to life, and provide inspiration to future generations of artists, archaeologists, scientists, and historians; but only if they are accessible. Museums in Hand is Becca and Jenny’s opportunity to dramatically increase this access.
